CAID&CD 2010

"2010 IEEE 11th International Computer Aided Industrial Design and Conceptual Design Conference" co-sponsored by the IEEE Society of Beijing Branch of Zhejiang University, Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society of Industrial Design Branch and etc, will be held in Yiwu(China) in November 2010.
This conference will be dedicate to "Industrial Clusters • Creative Design • Cross-border Integration" in the background of an increasingly competitive environment and under the gradual intensive technological homogenization pattern. How to use information technology as a means to combine culture, art and science, broaden horizons for SMEs in the economic crisis to seek their own path of development? This conference is aiming to provide effective support for discover the resolution.

The Conference Background
As an effective platform bringing the worlds' researchers, scholars, entrepreneurs and corporations together to share experiences and exchange latest studies and findings, the international conference on Computer-Aided Industrial Design & Conceptual Design (CAID&CD) has been held in Guilin, China (1998), Bangkok, Thailand (1999), Hong Kong (2000), Jinan, China (2001), Hangzhou, China (2003), and Delft, Netherlands(2005), Hangzhou, China (2006）, Seoul, Korea (2007）, Kunming, China (2008),Wenzhou(2009). In succession of the past tenth, the 11th (CAID&CD'2010) conference will be held in Yiwu and dedicated to "Industry Clusters • Creative Design • Crossover integration".
Theme of 2010--- "Industry Clusters • Creative Design • Crossover integration" to promote a number of industries revealed the inevitable choice, and the only way to promote innovation and development of design industry. Aiming to get the special solution for the SMEs development, the main research area lies in the information manufacturing industry, software systems and common technology of modern manufacturing and other key technology involved in the industry chain, to enhance their competitiveness, and improve comprehensive influence. And through cross-cultural, cross-regional, cross-age, multi-disciplinary international East-West cultural integration, integration of East and West, ancient Chinese culture and modern arts, relevant multi-disciplinary integration, industry interoperability and common prosperity, this conference will make the role of creative design become more multiplicity and diversity. Seek common ground, share a win-win result, start a new era, make a harmonious and beautiful world, design is accompany with the development of industries. In order to adapt to a variety of lifestyle, facing the increasingly fierce industry competition, the meaning of creative design will be more extensive and intensive in the new time.
The rapid development of the computer sciences has brought an ultimate change to the methods of design. New theories, methods and technologies appeared successively in recent years, such as cooperative design, virtual design, intelligent design, Internet-based design, commercial design, innovative design, design management, design physiology, design symbol, culture construction, design psychology, human technology, conceptual design and design informatics. A fusion of industrial design with information techniques, physiology and psychology is becoming reality. This emerging fusion will inevitably make a profound impact on the research, education and practices of industrial design.
Scientists, engineering and practitioners throughout the world will exchange ideas and research results related to design, analysis and application in the field of CAID&CD. The accepted papers of the 10th conference will be published in the IEEE categorized conference proceedings, and Outstanding papers will be recommended for publication in “Knowledge and Information Systems”, “Journal of China Design”, “Packing Engineering”, “Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering”, “Journal of Computer-Aided Design & Computer Graphics”, “Journal of Image and Graphics ”, “Journal of System Simulation”. The Proceedings of conference 2006, 2008, 2009, have been retrieved by EI, while also retrieved by ISTP for 6 years.

The Assessment results will be published in the submission system. Author should prepare a PDF version of their paper.
